The Wilderness Advanced First Aid course is taught by professional medics with extensive experience in remote wilderness conditions. Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with realistic scenarios where our instructors will challenge you to practise your new skills and knowledge.
This hands-on training course is designed to meet the needs of wilderness guides, mountain leaders, and those working in remote locations or conflict areas around the world. The course focuses on practices and procedures for initial and prolonged care for a patient in the wilderness or remote environments when help may be hours or days away.
At the end of the course, a very realistic victim evacuation simulation overnight will give you the opportunity to put into practice everything you’ve learnt through the week. The last and additional 2 days we offer make this course different from other Basic Life Support or Wilderness First Responder courses making it unique in its kind, vibrating the EWES philosophy and energy.
